Decades of experience regarding edgebanders Ott History 1963 Paul Ott is the founder of the business in Lambach. Main goal is the production of veneer presses. 1980 After years of continuing growth and success the production area has to be enlarged to 5.400 m². 1984 The Austrian part of the company Ott is taken over by the long-time employee Hans Kaser, whose philsophy and values are still a big part of the company today. 1989 The company starts working with two big CNC-controlled working centres. 1990 The continuing growth - also internationally - made another expansion of the productionals site necessary. The company now owns 12.000 m² on a second location, Carl von Lindestraße 12 in Lambach. 1991 Work in 'Werk II" - productional site 2 - with a productional area of 2.300 m² is started. The new building is mostly used for final installation of edgebanders and a new administrative center including a machine showroom. 1996 Another additional production hall with 1.200 m² enlarges the productional site 2. 2003 The company is now working on many international markets and has a fixed position on the world market. Many innovations, such as the perfect glueing system CombiMelt or the new, precise and fast edgebander Shark are proof of continuing development. Beatrix Kaser - the daughter of the managing director - starts working in the company. 2005-2007 Paul OTT introduces new machine types like Twister and Shark Quattroline. The new scraper changer AZK-4 for up to 4 different profiles gets presented. 2008-2012 The machine series Kantomat and Profimatic are replaced by newly designed machine types. The new machine StrongEdge and the series TopEdge are introduced. 2013-2020 In 2013 Paul OTT GmbH in Lambach celebrates the 50 year anniversary! The daughter of the former managing director and her husband (Beatrix and DI(FH) René Brunner) are now leading the company. The years 2018 / 2019 / 2020 are dominated by big changes in the facility Werk 1. Nearly the whole factory is rebuilt completely and the company invested in new machines as well. It is now possible - with the new CNC Center by ZAYER - to build even bigger machines.

  • Rip Saws | Quis Machinery

Rip Saws Skew Rip System Quick Rip System Opti-Rip System Rip One System #411A Skew Rip System Gallery Brochure Spec Sheet Contact Us Manufacturer: Cameron Automation / Taylor MFG (NY, USA) Type: Automated Rip Saw With Skewing Infeed Industry: Lumber & Millwork, Flooring, Cabinets Materials: Wood The industry’s best value! Designed for small and medium shops looking for high efficiency and throughput. The Cameron Skew System will cut up to (5) Boards per minute, maximizing the yield of raw materials and the efficiency of the work cell. The Skew is a highly efficient, inexpensive, full-featured, rip optimization system designed to fit any 12″ wide gang rip saw and specifically developed for the custom shop. The unique feature of The Skew is the skewing fence. It has the ability to twist and feed the board into the saw to get the best yield. The Skew also has all the features of the high-end optimization systems like: lumber tallying, pack reporting, bundle reporting, yield calculations, simulations, and much more. The greatest benefit of The Skew is the Return on Investment, which can be well under 1 year. Production: (1) Operator (2 – 3) 10 Ft. Long Boards per Minute (2) Operators (4 – 5) 10 Ft. Long Boards per Minute Current Installation Production Rates Minimum = 900 – 1000 bd. ft. Maximum = 6,000 – 7,000 Bd. Ft. Skew Rip #415A Quick Rip System Gallery Brochure Spec Sheet Contact Us Manufacturer: Cameron Automation / Taylor MFG (NY, USA) Type: Automated Rip Saw Industry: Lumber & Millwork, Flooring, Cabinets Materials: Wood Unlike other systems, the Quick Rip is fenceless and has auto-skewing for achieving the highest possible yield. Our sensors read the width, the length, and the shape of the boards. If a board has crook or taper, our software can determine if the board should be skewed for higher yield. If so, it happens automatically. This adds up to an additional 3% yield over systems with a fence. Quick Rips can be paired with Moving Blade Saws that come with (2), (3) or (4) moving blades depending on your cut-bill and lumber. The Cameron Opti-Rip software is written in-house, allowing changes, improvements, and free upgrades to happen on a regular basis. Production: Current Installation Production Rates Minimum = 3000 – 4000 bd. ft. per Day Maximum = 16,000 – 20,000+ bd. ft. per Day Max Production Typically Includes a Material Handling Outfeed System (1) Operator Loading the Infeed Outfeed Chains to Catch Rips and Cross Transfer (1 – 2 ) Operators pulling Material from the Chains into Carts (10 – 12+) 10 Ft. The Automated Opti-Rip rip saw optimization system is very adaptable to many material handling systems. Some of our systems are fed manually from a scissor lift of planed lumber. Some systems have a landing deck and are fed from the outfeed conveyor of a planer, and some systems are fed by destackers and singulation machines. Production: Current Installation Production Rates Minimum = 10,000 bd. ft. per Day Maximum = 18,000 – 21,000+ bd. ft. per Day Max Production Typically Includes Material Handling Upstream from Rip Process Typically Includes a Material Handling Outfeed System (1) Operator Manipulating whole Infeed System (De-Stacker, Board Singulator, Automated Opti-Rip) Outfeed Chains to Catch Rips and Cross Transfer (1 – 2 ) Operators Pulling Material from the Chains into Carts (10 – 12+) 10 Ft. Long Boards per Minute on Fixed Arbor Saws Opti-Rip #412A Rip One System Gallery Brochure Spec Sheet Contact Us Manufacturer: Cameron Automation / Taylor MFG (NY, USA) Type: Automated Rip Saw W/Lumber Scanning Technology Industry: Small/Medium Sized Shops: Lumber & Millwork, Flooring, Cabinets, Furniture Materials: Wood The Cameron Automation Rip-One is a complete lumber scanning, optimization, and gang ripping work cell designed for smaller shops. The Rip-One uses high-resolution scanning technology to view both sides of a board to capture board dimensions and defects. The high-resolution images are used to optimize each and every board going through the system. It also increases productivity dramatically by transforming gang ripping into a single person operation. The list price for the entire system for ripping 12′ lumber, including a movable blade Rip Saw, is tens of thousands or potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars less than other companies' scanners alone. Optimization systems that don’t incorporate scanners typically read the width of the board in one or more places and, at best, work with only a two-dimensional outer profile of the board. They are incapable of detecting wane or defects in the board. These optimizers can give a “best guess” ripping solution based on the board’s profile, but an operator is still required to finalize the solution based on the actual characteristics of the board. The Rip-One, on the other hand, brings the power of lumber scanning to the smaller shop, and until now, only larger shops could afford the advantages that could be gained by scanning lumber before ripping. Production: Current Installation Production Rates Minimum = 3000 – 4000 bd. ft. per Day Maximum = 8,000 – 9,000+ bd. ft. per Day Max Production Typically Includes a Material Handling Outfeed System (1) Operator Loading the Infeed Outfeed Chains to Catch Rips and Cross Transfer (1 ) Operator pulling Material from the Chains into Carts (7 – 8) 10 Ft.
